Workshops at Findhorn Consultancy, Scotland
with Gill Emslie
Group Facilitation, 24-27 February, 2007, Findhorn Foundation, Scotland
If you participate or lead groups, you will want to get the most out of that experience. How do you value everyone's opinion yet not get stuck in endless process? How do you facilitate leadership without becoming domineering and oppressive? How do you pay attention to your own bias and preferences, without becoming skewed and distorted because of them?
We will examine these and other related issues in a highly participative and fun workshop.
Using models drawn from Process Work, Spiral Dynamics and other disciplines, we will explore the cutting edge in group facilitation and deep democracy?- what lies beyond democracy?
Beyond Values...lie behaviour and feedback 28-3 March 2007, Findhorn Foundation, Scotland
Working in organisations that embody the values they espouse enables us to transform our workplaces from dry, functional units of production, to vibrant, creative communities of meaning.
We are increasingly good at listing our values - individual and team values, aspirational and actual values. But for our values to really live, they must be embodied in behaviours. And for us to behave in the way we aspire to, we need to create a culture where feedback is welcomed and can be skilfully given and received - across the whole organisation.
In this module, we will practice, with our own real life situations, how to create a culture where values can be explicit, and behaviours lived and experienced. We will draw on values work developed by Don Beck (Spiral Dynamics) and Richard Barrett (Tools for Corporate Transformation) and will invite you to conduct your own on-line values survey prior to the start of the module.
